On the 9th of July, it was a pleasure to host the Wakatipu creative community for pastries and a cuppa at the Queenstown Events Centre.
With over 75 RSVP’s from our creative community, our Community Connect events provide us with the opportunity to share and listen.
Jo Brown, General Manager, shared the major milestones underway here at the Trust, in-line with our strategic priorities followed by a very exciting announcement by our founding Trustee, Carroll Joynes , who formally announced Te Atamira, a new arts and culture facility in the Wakatipu. The announcement was greeted with a loud round of applause, with one creative community member taking to the microphone to personally thank the Trust for their effort to get this into the QLDC Ten-Year Plan.
Once the crowd settled, the floor was opened for questions providing us with the opportunity to gain our creatives valuable feedback.
